GLEE LIVE Tomorrow! Target Center

Glee is coming to Minneapolis this summer for a live concert at Target Center that will include 13 members of the TV show’s cast.

Glee Live! In Concert! kicks off May 21 in Las Vegas and comes to Minneapolis on June 1. Tickets go on sale February 21 at 10 a.m.

The live performances will feature some of the most memorable musical numbers from Seasons 1 and 2 of Glee, including: “Empire State of Mind,” “Toxic,” “My Life Would Suck Without You,” “It’s My Life,” and of course, “Don’t Stop Believin’.

USA Today called last year’s concerts “equal parts musical theater, giddy pop culture phenomenon and Journey-loving rock show.”

NORTHERN SPARK
Northern Spark is a new MN Festival modeled on a nuit blanche or “white night” festival—a dusk to dawn participatory art event along the Mississippi and surrounding areas. It will take place the evening of June 4 (sunset 8:55 pm) till the morning of June 5, 2011 (sunrise 5:28 am).

It is in this context that more than 200 artists are presenting 100 installations and performances for Northern Spark from the top of the Foshay Tower to boat rides along the Mississippi to light sculptures and projections to performances galore, including car horn and brass band fanfares, color guards, river dancing, sewer pipe organs, lullabies, and storytelling.

Highlights include a video horse galloping on the Mississippi, a photos show with ping pong, and a floating chhautauqua on the Jonathan Padelford sternwheeler.
