The Tony Award-winning comedy of grown ups behaving badly. Now playing at the Guthrie Theater, thru August 7th.

God of Carnage begins as two highly strung couples, Alan and Annette Raleigh and Michael and Veronica Novak, meet for a civil discussion about a playground fight between their sons. The conversation quickly morphs into a laugh-out-loud, train wreck of an afternoon among savages, called "ninety minutes of sustained mayhem" by The New Yorker. The New York Times hailed God of Carnage as a "four-way prize fight" and the Chicago Tribune praised Reza’s play, calling it a "savvy and deliciously caustic new comedy." This must-see received the Olivier Award for Best New Comedy, as well as the Outer Critics Circle and Drama League Awards for Best Play.

“Too good to be true!” raves the New York Post for Jersey Boys, the 2006 Tony® Award-winning Best Musical about Rock and Roll Hall of Famers The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi. This is the story of how four blue-collar kids became one of the greatest successes in pop music history.

Titian and the Golden Age of Venetian Painting: Masterpieces from the National Galleries of Scotland

ENDING SOON!!! Last day: Sunday, May 1, 2011
Minneapolis Insitute of Arts
Two of the most important paintings from the Italian Renaissance are currently making their Twin Cities debut. Venetian painter Titian's 'Diana and Actaeon' and 'Diana and Callisto' will be on view at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, the second of only three stops the paintings will make on their first visit to the United States.

The Dianas join 11 other paintings and 12 drawings as part of 'Titian and the Golden Age of Venetian Painting: Masterpieces From the National Galleries of Scotland.'

The exhibit also features major works by other influential 16th-century Venetian artists, including Lotto, Tintoretto, Bassano, Cariani, Bordone and Veronese.

Acclaimed as the most poetic creations of the Italian Renaissance, these luminous sixteenth-century paintings are the two most significant works by Titian outside of Italy and Spain. Originally painted for King Philip II of Spain, they entered the Bridgewater/Sutherland collection at the end of the eighteenth century and have been on loan to the National Gallery since 1945.
